Rationale

As you can see by my inspiration images that my design is based on are very construction / industrial themed. This is reflected in the materials of slab concrete and diamond plating. My skecthup and D.E designs left an easy route for where to go next. what i will have the structures doing in the animation, is retracting and protracting. This will be possible because the each size group of structures fits nicely inside the one below it. The tiny ball at the top will fall at the end and when it hit the base structure this will instigate the protrating movement back into the original position. I will also have the triangular structure spinning after the protraction.
